For the Georgia
Cable TV Association, the Interactive Media Technology Center provided
a PC based Distance Learning demonstration using DEC's Motion JPEG
video technology , with a graphical user interface. The multimedia
presentation was based on video shot during the Jason Project for
Turner Broadcasting and demonstrated the use of information stored
on a remote server in a series of video libraries for the purpose
of supporting remote classrooms. The system uses a Novell network
over a unused cable TV channel to demonstrate Wide Area Networking
of multimedia databases.
