The Jason Project

The Jason Project is an annual educational project designed to generate excitement about science for young people. Georgia Tech has played a major role in two projects. For the 1991 Jason Project, IMTC, in collaboration with GTRI, developed 3D graphic tours of the Galapagos Islands, based on a variety of satellite data. Similar work was done for the 1993 project in the Sea of Cortez off  Baja California. IMTC also developed a multimedia kiosk based on the video produced as a part of the 1992 Galapagos Island program.  The project was designed to use the exciting information from the project year-round.
