NeoBike Product Visualization

NeoDyne, Inc., manufacturer of highly efficient and powerful electric motors, came to Georgia Tech with an idea for a new product, the NeoBike bicycle conversion kit. NeoDyne hired the Industrial Design department of the College of Architecture and a group of researchers from the school of Mechanical Engineering to design and prototype an add-on kit to convert a bicycle into a motorized vehicle using a NeoDyne electric motor. In order to visualize the NeoBike kit and to generate funding for the product's manufacture, IMTC was contracted to produce a five minute animation showing how the product might look and operate. Concept sketches produced by members of the Industrial Design team and engineering drawings from NeoDyne were used to create 3-D computer models of the NeoBike kit for use in the animation.
