IMTC worked with
the Biomedical Interactive Technology Center, the Medical College
of Georgia, and the US Army Medical Center at Fort Dietrich, Maryland,
to develop the Electronic House Call, a home based medical monitoring
system. The system allows patients who are in stable condition,
but need medical monitoring and evaluations, to return to their
homes. The systems, connected to the patients' homes via
the Internet, provide two way video and audio conferencing between
the patient and the medical professional at the hospital and measurement
of a number of vital signs, including ECG, Blood Pressure, and
Blood Oxygen level. The technology is now available as a commercial
product from Cyber-Care, as a part of their
EHC 400, 500, and 600 products. Cyber-Care is the exclusive licensee
of the technology from Georgia Tech and the Medical College of
Georgia.
