Wireless RERC -Letter of Recommendation

December 3, 2002

To Whom It May Concern:

I have been asked to provide a letter of recommendation for Georgia Tech's
Interactive Media Technology Center (IMTC) and I am happy to do so. For the past three years we had the opportunity to work with several IMTC staff on two projects involving development of interactive multimedia web-based information resources for people with disabilities. In the past we have used the services of for-profit web development companies, so had fairly high expectations. Frankly, as a university-based organization, I expected IMTC to deliver technically but did not expect a truly "professional" effort.

I can honestly say that they surpassed my expectations. I have been continually impressed with the creativity, enthusiasm, professionalism and sensitivity to our needs demonstrated by IMTC. I was especially impressed with the lengths they have gone to not only understand, but to master the unique challenges of designing accessible web sites and content for people with disabilities. In fact, IMTC has become a regional resource on accessible web design and offers continuing education workshops on the topic. Finally, I was impressed with IMTC's understanding of bottom-line concerns to deliver on time and on budget. Unlike many academic centers I have dealt with in the past, the staff really understood that creativity does not have to be compromised to deliver a quality product at a reasonable price.

In closing, I enthusiastically support IMTC as an addition to your team and will be happy to assist in anyway I can to help you arrive at that decision. Please feel free to contact me at (404) 350-7595 if I can be of further assistance.

Sincerely yours,
Michael L. Jones, Ph.D.
