The Atlanta History Center - Letter of Recommendation

November 25, 2002

To Whom It May Concern:

With pleasure, I write in full support of Georgia Tech's Interactive Media Technology Center's future endeavors. The Atlanta History Center hired IMTC in 1998 to build an interactive web kiosk to accompany "Down the Fairway with Bobby Jones," our newest permanent exhibition. I worked with the IMTC team for over two years and can offer a unique perspective on their professionalism.

I can say without exaggeration that IMTC is the reason for the kiosk's success. They helped the exhibition team develop a work plan and delivered all that was promised on time and within the budget we had agreed upon. In managing the project, IMTC demonstrated sensitivity to our needs. We work with a variety of vendors and rarely end a project without complaint. This is what makes IMTC unique.

The IMTC team was decisive, yet flexible. They presented ideas that helped us develop a kiosk that met the learning objectives of the exhibition, which indicated that they had spent a great deal of time doing the kind of preparation that such a project requires. During the installation, we were delayed by the construction crew. Without complaint, the IMTC team adjusted their schedule to ensure that we opened on time.

IMTC is energetic and inventive in developing products that are appealing to visitors. Our interactive kiosk continues to attract visitors. It has a lot to offer, but is not difficult to use. Few visitors are probably aware of how innovative the technology really is; they focus instead on the lavish graphics and the interactivity. We strive at the History Center to develop interactive components in our exhibitions that do not require a great deal of maintenance. We hired IMTC because we knew from checking their references that their systems work.

IMTC maintains uncompromising standards and takes pride in the success of each project. I expected no less from an institution with the prestige of Georgia Tech. I would urge you to make them part of your team. Please feel free to contact me at (404) 814-4117, as I would be happy to discuss IMTC's qualifications in greater detail.
